Muwi The Robotic Lawnmower

This robotic lawnmower concept from designer Yuli Sung is really something else. On the surface it looks a bit like your average robotic lawnmower, but it definitely is not. The cutting part of its program certainly works like all robotic lawnmowers, but when it's finished is where the fun begins: It takes the grass it has cut and turns them into objects of different sizes and shapes. For example something that looks like a frisbee and a sphere.

Five coolest gadgets of 2009

Tonium Pacemaker
The Pacemaker is a digital media player with DJ functionality. The user can take any music file stored on the player and mix it with the numerous cool functions featured on this amazing player. The finished mixes can then be freely shared between other users.

It is hard to fully describe exactly how this thing works. So you can check out this nice video review and see it in action.

Philips Readius
The world's first ebook reader with a rollable display. Thanks to this new feature, Philips were able to squeeze this cool thing into tiny dimensions. Only as big (or little) as a small cell phone, but with a screen much bigger, this cool gadget promises to solve the problems that have plagued classic ebook readers.

Another interesting thing about this gadget is that it also works as a phone!

Sony Rolly
This egg-shaped music player is essentially a robot that dances along the music it's playing. It is controlled by several motors that allow it to rotate, spin and flap its "wings".

This amazing little fellow can detect changes in rhythm, beat, voice and pitch and move accordingly on its own. It can also be programmed by the user to follow desired patterns.

Nintendo DS 2009
Updated version of the ever so popular Nintendo DS. This new version will include touch capability for both screens, along with some other tweaks.

Blackberry Storm 2
The first touchscreen Blackberry which was released back in 2008, is now getting an update.

Called the Storm 2, this cool phone will include numerous updates, the most important of which will be updated software, as the original one received some critical reviews due to software bugs.

Buying a plasma tv: things to keep in mind

The market is filled with different kinds of plasma televisions and sometimes it can be quite difficult to decide which one to buy. Here are a few things to keep in mind when choosing, and ultimately buying a plasma television.

Choosing the correct plasma tv size

Screen size is perhaps the most important feature to most buyers. However, the bigger the screen size, the more it will cost. So if you want that 60 inch plasma tv you have been dreaming about, be prepared to shell out a few thousand bucks to get one.

Another important aspect to remember is the of the room your plasma tv will be occupying. The bigger the screen size, the bigger your room has to be, because the screen size is directly linked to viewing distance. You don't want to choose a plasma tv that is too big for your room, and find yourself spinning your head wildly, trying to keep up with the action, when watching a movie, now do you?

A plasma tv will also require some space behind it for cooling, so keep that also in mind when calculating the optimal screen size!

Features

What kind of features should one be looking for when buying a plasma tv? First thing you need to decide is whether to buy 720 or 1080 vertical resolution screen. The 720 plasma tvs are cheaper but have fewer pixels for the same screen size which can make the picture look a bit fuzzy for the careful viewer.

You also want to make sure the plasma tv has a few HDMI ports, so that you can connect things like video game consoles and DVD players to your plasma tv with the highest picture quality.
